An outdoor activity I really enjoy is cycling, particularly early-morning rides with a small group of friends in Dhaka. We usually go out on Friday and Saturday mornings, starting around six o'clock before the traffic gets heavy. Our favourite route goes from Uttara along the roads near the airport and out towards the open fields beyond the city, which is about twenty-five kilometres in total. At that time of day, the air is cooler, the roads are almost empty, and you can see farmers already working and tea stalls just opening. There are five of us, and we met through an online cycling group about two years ago. We always stop halfway for tea and parathas, which is honestly one of the best parts of the ride. I enjoy it for several reasons. Physically, it keeps me fit, and I've noticed I sleep much better on cycling days. Mentally, it clears my head after a week of studying. I've tried using an exercise bike in a gym, but it's boring compared to being outside and actually going somewhere. I've read that Kuala Lumpur has some good cycling trails, so I'm hoping to continue there.
