Vocabulary
Environment vocabulary for IELTS
Twenty clear words and collocations for discussing pollution, climate change and protecting nature.
Environment questions appear often in IELTS, and Bangladesh gives you strong real examples: floods, river erosion and air quality in Dhaka. Learn each collocation as a block (tackle climate change, carbon emissions) and practise explaining a cause and a solution using them. Personal examples make Speaking answers more natural.
Common mistake: using "the nature". When you mean the natural world, say nature without the: We must protect nature. Also avoid writing "environment pollution"; the correct form is environmental pollution.
